7 children hacked to death in China

A man charged into a kindergarten in northwestern China  with a cleaver yesterday and hacked to death seven children and two adults — the fifth such rampage in less than two months. The attacker then went home and killed himself.

Rescuers struggle to reach China quake survivors

Rescue workers were Thursday digging through rubble as they struggled to reach survivors of a quake in a remote region of northwest China which killed nearly 600 people and injured 10,000.
